Im new to LA chasing the dream. I just recently visited TVI actors studio which seems like it could be a good fit yet the pricing is a bit steep but the networking potential seems very rewarding and the things they help you with as far as getting your career started. I want to know if anyone knows the credibility of this acting studio and also any other acting studios in LA and their credibility. thanks people...please help me....

TVI is not a good choice, they're a factory and the teachers are of poor quality.

Try Actors Connection. They started in NYC, but are now, also in L.A.

Unfortunately, the people that took over from the original owners have destroyed the concept of the original Actors Connection, as well as charging more money than the founding owners.

TVI is sort of the WalMart of acting studios, they are big and they are everywhere. I know nothing about their classes. But my top recommendation in LA is The Acting Without Agony Academy.

I am a retired actor who mentors those seeking a career in acting for free. Read my profile and contact me at my aol address if I can be of any assistance. I have other advisees in LA and thoughout the country.

I sat in on a class there one (at the one in L.A.) to see if I liked it. Which I didn't, but that is a matter of preference. It just didn't feel right for me. But, maybe the class is right for you and maybe the one in New York is better. Call and ask if you can sit in for a class to see if you like it before you sign up for the class. TVI is legit though, in case you were wondering if it was a scam.

They don't have the best reputation. You can go there and get okay instruction. But you can do better for a lot less money.
