actually, many celebs never had a regular childhood and felt like they were working all their lives. it doesn't make them more mature or morally better than regular people. they feel older but still could act whateve age they want to. the thing is, once a celeb makes a mistake, it is magnified and turned into a whole media circus. we are lucky to learn from their mistakes without actually making the same mistakes. celebs are not perfect but have to maintain a certain image to keep credibility. of course they have to look and behave their best 99% of the time because they know that the public is watching but deep down inside they are regular people too. they have morning breath, they poo and it smells as stinky as any other persons, they get hurt, they bleed. they are just the same as us. in the entertainment industry, you can pay people to maintain your (good)image. stylists, doctors, trainers, pusblicists, agents, makeup artists, designers so that your value is kept at a certain level. They are not mentally advanced compared to non celebs, in fact they might even be a bit behind. Having a really tight schedule, pressure of looking good, pressure of performing well, and pressure of being under he public eye is not easy to deal with. Each celeb deals with it differently but the usual outcome of all the pressure is crumbling. They can get cranky, drink or do drugs, or obsess about exercise. That is why some celebs look so grouchy and mean and diva ish. They can't eat or use the bathroom without someone following them, plus they have lots of things to worry about.

If you mean teen celebrities I think it is because they are working in essentially an adult environment. It does make them grow up too fast and you can always tell the ones who don't have great family support as they're the ones who go off the rails the quickest.
I've never felt inferior to a celebrity. They're better looking than "normal" people because they have personal trainers, chefs, stylists, makeup artists, hairdressers, and plastic surgeons to make sure they always look flawless. There's always air-brushing too. Money can't buy you happiness so I don't begrudge anyone for being richer than I am. As for the other stuff, who wants to be stalked by photographers and live under such intense scrutiny all the time? I would hate that.

Because they are basically the same as everyone else but a load more shallow. They do something once and the sales and marketing people make a zillion bucks and give them a few and coddle and comfort them and tell them how wonderful they are and hope to make a ton of cash off them. They're too stupid to understand how fast the star burns out and they need a job. Most celebrities couldn't answer the phone if writers didn't put words in their mouths.

Most of these celebs you're talking about are teenage celebrities. It's sort of true because when they are famous, they kind of have to deal with more things compared to someone their age who is a non-celeb.
So, they have to get used to the hectic lifestyle, to dodge the media when it is unnecessary, to deal with rumors and basically face a lot of things earlier than they would. In a way, it does make them more mature but not necessarily smarter.

I think it's what they have gone through to achieve that fame that has made them think that they are more matured than others. However, I do not think there is any perfect people, even celebrities.

it's like when you go in for a job interview...
you put on you best clothes, you best behaviour, you've mentally prepared yourself for that hour or so.
they do all that before they get infront of a camera.
i don't think they actually think they're more mature or smarter than other people their ages.
if you were going to be recorded and broadcast, would you want it to be all the right stuff?

i agree with you. it is because they think their so rich that they could get away with things. and because people are so obsesed with them. and because everyone thinks that they are role models and so famous and recognisable. and no not all of them are famous or mature. some are ok some are not or some are just plain greedy
