For a minute, I thought maybe you were one of my friends but I haven't spoken to anyone on the phone lately. I am the friend who talks way too much. My Mom is the same way and we can be on the telephone for hours.

I put her on speaker and just carry on doing whatever I was doing before she called, every so often I say "oh really, huh" and I just let her talk. I have to admit there are times I signal "I'm NOT here!" if my husband picks the phone up first.

Ugh, one of my workmates is like that. She talks constantly and the biggest problem is that she speaks so low so most people have to lean in to hear her. She's annoying. I'm the only one who actually tells her to be quiet or just leave me alone.

I do and everytime I try and say, "Well I'm gonna let you go now" she starts back up talking about something off the wall.....I can't say much though because I am sure I do the same thing....

Yes, i do. Sometimes it is far too much about herself too. When the timing is right i like to say...."Ummmnah, are you still there?" then hang up. It just gets her goat enough to realise she has been waffling on too much.
