Acording to folklore they do along with wolves ( eventhough their the main element in werewolves) big black dogs and black cats ( these are also associated with witches ) . I don`t know if you believe in this but some cases really make you think about it ( google some ).
But if you are a logical balanced, moral, and intellectually fulfilled person you know these things are nonsences.

Vampire bats, do not turn into anything else than themselves.

They are little mammals that live in caves in Mexico, Argentina, Brazil. The saliva of vampire bats contains a substance, draculin, which prevents the victim's blood from clotting.

This substance is used in modern medicine to help prevent heart problems it is used in the desmoteplase, which is an anticoagulant.

The little bats do not suck blood, thanks to the saliva they have they make a little hole in the cattle and lap from it. Vampire bats hunt only when it is fully dark.

They need blood at least once every few days to survive. If they can't get blood, they'll approach another vampire bat whilst roosting, asking for a blood 'transfusion'.

Vampire bats are not feared because of what they eat, but because they are often carriers of the deadly rabies virus. But most of wild animals are, so let alone the poor little chaps ^_^
