Cicero, who "invented" the Republic (Res Publica)
stated, as long as humans are too squarrelsome
to get along with each other, governement is needed
but goal would be to make it innecessary eventually.
*sigh* that was 2000 years ago.

I wish it were true but its just not going to happen.
People are so different and there will be those who always take advantage.
They will do damage to others for power, religion and wealth. Some even commit random acts of violence for fun.
Not all but many people need guidance these days.
As for the Government...we need a big change.
Doing away with all Government wouldn't work. I believe that people in today's world need leadership and guidance.
I could go on but that is the basics.

Yes. But mostly because lack of government will end with the death of humans, so no one will be left to cause these things.
Admittedly, those in power regularly screw us over to get more power. I doubt anyone disagrees with that assessment. But to maintain their power, they need somebody to have power over. So they do what it takes to make sure that most of the population survives. It is self-serving, but it still works out for us.
All people have at least a small selfish streak in them. Without government to keep us in check, the strongest among us would eventually take whatever they want. If anyone weaker stands in their way, they'd crush them (beat them, maybe even kill them). Imagine if some guy wants your food, or your house, or maybe even your mate; and that guy happens to be stronger than you. Right now, the probability of having to go to jail is part of what keeps him from taking any and/or all of these things away from you.
Get rid of the gov't, and you definitely lose it. Eventually what would happen is that you would get a race of humans who were superstrong and superviolent. And depending on some variables, they might even fight each other to the point that they kill even those last vestiges of the human race. It could lead to our extinction (probably only a severe drop in human population, but it is within the realm of possibility for all humanity to die from a lack of government).
But human government obviously has its failings. The most notable one is that it constantly screws us over in its attempt to maintain its own power. When God brings His Kingdom, His benevolence and love is what will stop all these things you have problem with.

The world will never be truly anarchic. Someone will always take over. The example that comes to mind is Somalia. It's run by warlords, and most of the people can't get food. That's what happens without government.

Won't happen.
We need government for police, fire assistance, and law regulation. No laws means chaos and all the things you don't want any more of will accelerate until we are all GONE!
Dream all you want, everyone will not be good on their own.

Government is needed to systematically exploit the population in order to enrich those on top.
