This is what I do.
Have a big goal that you are working towards. For me, that is travel. It can be anything though.
In the meantime...... try to take pleasure in the small things. Like, cooking a nice meal. Going someone nice with friends. Take one day at a time, step by step. Try to incorporate some meditation and or relaxation time, even if it be a walk. Read inspirational material. Keep your mind stimulated. A distraction from dwelling.
And maybe try St Johns wort. I am going to try that this week.

Avoid anything thing that even has a chance of ruining your day. Hang out with positive people, people who are always positive and have a smile on their face and puts one on you. Think about things you luv, or something you luv. (not your ex. avoid that) , i mean like what you like to do, or what you enjoy eating or something. Pray for inner happiness. Be yourself. It helps. If you are always out there and trying to be someone you are not, it will just put you in the wrong mood. Act the way you would act as yourself.
