I need to understand something. Besides the fact that this has been going on for nearly a year, why has it taken so long for a majority of the country to hear about it. Slowly word is seeping through communities. But yet Britney Spears spent 65% of 2007 in the headlines. what is wrong with this picture? Racsim once again shows it ugliness. Many people think racism is dead and buried. But if you haven't had a wake up call yet just goggle Jena 6, or go to NAACP website and learn more. People need to understand just because you may feel people are equal there are way so many people whos views are twisted and distorted and if you are not the same skin color as them they want harm to come to you. No matter how good of a person you may be. These boys had nothing more then a high school fight. No matter what color you are, what sex you are, you more then likely had a fight in high school. If all high schoolers who had a fight went to jail for life, there would be more people in jai

more people in jail then walking the streets. There are fights in HS that involve deadly weapons and these kids get a slap on the hand and maybe, maybe arrested. I went to a very good private school in the 80's and I recall a student showing a knife off in the yard. I recall telling the security who later had him arrested. But he was back in school weeks later. War, racism, crime, police corruption--but yet Brittany and OJ are headlines. God help us all

Racism isn't right whatever the race. As far as jews it was just a wrong a slavery, which I was not talking about. Be if you want to go there lets--it has not been forgotten, the holocust. Everytime a Switzsticker appears it is on the news. Headlines as a matter of fact..Maybe instead of burying your hand in the sand and crying but what about---look at the whole picture. What I questioned is priorities. What is important to society. Read my staement/question again. Is Brittney Spears r OJ what is headlines. Is that more important then racial harmony or in this instance bigortry? There a war gonig on. Where is it, buried on page 5 or the 4 maybe 5th story on the news. Sure I'm black but does that make me a worse person then you or a jew, or a asian. I went down to the WTC and dug in toxic debris to save someone anyone. Do you think I would have let a person die there because of the color of their skin? But cn the racist people that we work and play with say the same?

NAACP........a group that has a purpose for seeing that "colored" people are treated fairly and "advanced". do whites have this? Asians? Jews in history, were burned alive in Nazi Germany, made to kill their own family members, and never asked for special treatment or reparations or money or any special considerations because of their past or because of skin color. Blacks......in 2007 are crying about civil rights and equal treatment. In Va Beach, blacks complained that a police department entrance exam was racially biased........because most of them failed, and they won the claim. they won......WTF? I am waiting for the day that the blacks begin to complain that hypertension, diabetes and heart failure is racist also. The white community is not the ones consistently pushing skin color as an issue in 2007. The white teens in Jena were wrong to do what they did, but if an all out fist fight ensued it would have been a racial problem because it was white vs. black. Big frigging deal if they hung some ropes from a tree........with this country's school violence history, be happy there was not a school shooting. Blacks........toughen up. You must have missed the day they taught " sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me." Someone gotta make an effort to get along. Schools press charges on kids for old fashioned fist fights........if some of these kids got an *** beating, they may not bring in a gun next week. Either way........quit crying in Jena USCblk- 1st you can't even get the NAACP correct, you have ncaap.....which makes you a f*cking idiot to start....a black activist who cant even get that right......need I say more? 2nd, I am not a Jew......I am white. I am just sick and tired of hearing the blacks cry about who owes them for slavery, and in 2007 are still crying about civil rights...........it's kind of funny that blacks were once slaves, and these days you can't even get them to work. You don't like the tone I used when I talk about blacks? Lordy Lordy I am oh so sorry!. **** You

I agree racism is wrong. I fell if it is okay for blacks to rally against racism, why can't other races go the same. If whites were to do what blacks have do in Jena, it would be called a KKK rally. I have not heard of other race doing the same thing either. Is is a privilege of being black and I just don't know about it? It is a school yard fight and boys will be boys. What is everyone problem with this and not other race related issues?

Cernunnicnos, so you might assert that a noose is a prank, which would be actual the place you're from, yet interior the south, the place racism continues to be very lots allive, it fairly is genuinely preposterous to think of that a noose extraordinary from the tree that a black infant felt that he had to get permission from the administration to sit down decrease than a white basically tree is a prank! those boys did that to easily terrify the black infant(s). end of tale. A noose in a haunted house is thoroughly diffrent from the aforementioned problem and you realize it.

this is to the person who said blacks should stop crying about the jena 6. first off are u a racist? b/c u sure do sound like one. Also, u said the ncaap wants black people to be treated advanced?? i think u have a misunderstanding, the ncaap fights for the advancement of colored people, equality among races. about the jena six, six black students were charged w/ 2nd degree murder, as adults, for a school yard fight, and you are telling me that's fair!!! the white victim went to the hospital and was released the same day, did not substain any injuries, and to u its fair? a black student was beaten at an all white party: no action was taken, the nuses were hung: very light punishment issued. black student protest: DA threatens that he could "take lives away w/ stroke of pen. That's Fair??? u have GOT to be kidding. u said somthing about an entry exam being prejudice against black people, u stated that u believe that it's BS. OPEN ur eyes racism is very much alive in our society, things like that happen all the time, okay. i really don't like the tone u choose to write about black people, i'm assuming u r jewish b/c of ur passion for the holocaust. the reason i think u r a racist is b/c u have so much pride and passion for ur qwn people(which i respect) but when it comes to othe races, u clearly put them down. 2nd degree murder charges???? not in a million years could this be deemed fair... sigh, all i want is a little respect for people that are simply trying to obtain Justice for thier people.

It's the African American community that is acting racist here. Those 6 students who beat the one student should be criminally prosecuted. Being exposed to hateful words or symbols is no excuse for a savage beating. We live in a world where all of us, not just African Americans, are exposed to vile hate-filled speech. Nobody has the right to respond to such speech with violence. African Americans are not an exalted position, they have no greater right to resort to violence than any of us.

This isn't Jim Crow. This is dispassioned justice.

There is more to this story than has been revealed.

More facts will soon emerge that will most likely change the entire perspective.

"Not only is there almost no media coverage of the Black violent hate crimes against Whites, but in high profile cases when Blacks are prosecuted for heinous crimes against innocent Whites, the White victims are ignored and the Black criminals are turned into “real victims” by the media.

Nothing more clearly illustrates this point than what has occurred over the past year in Jena, Louisiana and the orgy of hatred that Jena has suffered. today, September 20, the town has been invaded by thousands of thugs like Al Sharpton who seek to make violent Black hate criminals such as Michael Bell and the rest of the so-called “Jena Six” into heroes. Even worse the entire White population of the town is facing a media lynching by being labeled racists who are unjustly persecuting Black young men.

Michael Bell, who has been convicted of four previous violent crimes, (a fact scarcely revealed by the media), led a group of six Black students to attack and unmercifully beat a White Student at Jena High School in what can only be described as a vicious hate crime. Motivated by racial hatred, the six Blacks attacked one lone White student, Justin Barker. They stomped and kicked him to unconsciousness and continued to kick him and stomp him as he lay helpless. The attack could have easily have taken his life if others had not intervened. Only by the grace of God did he survive.

To show the insane bias of this whole case, just imagine if the facts were reversed.

If a gang of six Whites motivated by racial hatred and led by a White with four previous violent-crime convictions had attacked a lone Black student, kicking and stomping him into unconsciousness, would there any concern that the leader and the other White gang members could be charged with aggravated assault? Would not there be national demands to charge the White attackers with the most serious of federal civil rights violations and hate crimes? White leaders from all over the country, even the leaders of the local town of Jena, would not be defending the White attackers, they would be condemning the attacks and calling for the harshest of punishments allowed by the law.

As far as the Media are concerned, oh yes the supposedly unbiased media, they would be interviewing the Black victim on every TV talk show across the land, discussing his fear, his pain, his suffering. They would be interviewing his crying relatives and friends. They would not be voicing any fear that the White attackers would be treated too harshly. No, they would be demanding the harshest of penalties.

Federal officials from the President on down would be calling for additional serious charges of federal civil rights violations. But you see, in the America of 2007 Whites are no longer deemed to have any “civil rights.”

When a lone White kid is beaten savagely by a gang of six hate criminals, the media is only concerned about how the Black attackers are being treated too harshly. And if you are waiting for civil rights charges to be filed against the Black attackers who violated the civil rights of the boy they almost beat to death, don’t hold your breath.

The entire Jena scenario and the coverage of it by the media show once again that it is not the people of Jena who are racists. By voting for me and by demanding justice in this case, they have shown rightly that they believe in fairness to all and that White people are now the real victims of racism in America. Once again it is shown that we must have advocates for our rights and heritage just as any other group is permitted to do so.

May the District Attorney and the people of Jena stay strong and never give in to those who seek take away their rights of life and liberty as guaranteed by the United States Constitution."
