The reason i was wondering this is because i kept forgetting to take my pills in the middle of my cycle and ended up getting heavy periods. This happened about 4 times , so i am now of the pill.Could there be any harmful side effects from having the heavy periods in the middle of the cycle,4 times in a row?

Unless it is a medical doctor answering this I would think it would be best to call someone like your doctor for this or at least a nurse or someone in the health profession to better guide u.

You never really know what else could be giving you these side effects.

no there wont be side effects from heavy periods i have had heavy periods off and on for years and when i first started the pill i had 2 of the worst ones i have ever had in my life!!!!!!! the reason your periods got heavier is because your hormone levels were off because you did not take your pills!!!!! however if you do not wish to become pregnant you should remember to always take your pills and to always take them around the same time each day.....
but no it wont harm your body not to take them anymore than taking them harms you!!!!!!

and if you stopped taking the pill i hope you got another form of birthcontrol!!!!!!!!!!

i always remember to take my pills everyday at the same time cause i do not want a baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No. Every month your uterus lines itself with blood to prepare for pregnancy. When no pregnancy occurs, you get your period. When you forget to take those pills, your uterus gets all whacked out of shape and doesn't know what to do, so it does what the hormones (or lack of them) tell it to do. Bleed. Don't worry. If you can't remember to take that pill everyday at the same time, then find another form of BC.

Set your cell phone calendar, or your cell alarm, or your watch alarm to go off and then take the pill. I don't think it is harmful, but it isn't good to keep doing that.

Talk to your doctor, possibly get a different contraceptive (implant or IUD?).
