did you sleep like crazy?? I went to bed last night at 9:30 and slept straight until 7;30. Then I got up for about a half hour because I was hungry but by ten min after eight I was about to pass out so I went back to bed and slept until noon. And the only reason I woke up then was because my honey came home for lunch. I stayed up just long enough to watch a movie and by two/two thirty I was passed back out until 5:15. It's now 10:00 (I live in Alaska) and here I am yawning already about to head to bed. I was just curious if anyone else slept like this when they were pregnant. I am 21 weeks along. Thanks!

I slept like a fiend!

I was fortunate enough to have a caring and considerate boss - I slept most of the day at work! I worked at a production company in LA and I'd go sleep in the post production rooms. I'd fall asleep while my husband was driving us to the grocery store that was only 10 minutes away.
He'd wake me up once we got there. So yes - I slept alot.
You'll be back to your old self soon though. Then you'll have a lot of energy. :)

Well. I'm 39 weeks and I can tell you that I have not worked since I was 4 mnths pregnant. Since I have been off, that's all my life consist of is sleeping, it doesn't matter what I do to get my energy up, its just no end. I cant even really remember the past 5 mnths of my pregnancy. But I can say that towards the end when you get into your nesting mode, you'll get done everything you couldn't because of your need for rest. Don't worry you'll make up the difference later.

I slept more than usual from the 2nd trimester on. By the 3rd trimester, I was sleeping 12-13 hours a night and napping once or twice during the day.

I am 9 weeks pregant, and yup i sleep whenever i'm home, the only time i wake up is either because i'm hungry or i need to go to the bathroom, i asked my friends and coworkers, they said it's normal, i think we're ok, i live in sunny California but still, i slept the whole weekend, i didn't care about how nice the weather we have lately :) good luck!

During my first pregnancy I worked and slept, especially during the first three months. During the second and third I would have loved to do that, but since I had other kids around I had to work, take care of them, and then sleep. It's natural, but for me it didn't continue that late. But every pregnancy is different.

Enjoy the sleep while you can get it.

I didn't sleep quite that much but I used to come home from work, lay down and doze off and on until bedtime and then sleep all night until it was time to go to work. Sleeping a lot is normal for pregnant women. Congrats!

God yes. The nice thing with the first baby is that you are ABLE to nap. Not as easy with the 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Take advantage of your quiet time now, it's about to change in a BIG way! lol....

Rest up!
