The temperature to breed them should be between 26 - 29 *C

If you really want to breed fish, be VERY ready for a hard time. I have tried on and off for two years and am about to try again, having gathered sufficient data. Temperature is not too much of a problem. It only needs to be 3-7 degrees higher than room temperature.

before attempting to breed them you really need to do your research, because it can be quite complicated and difficult to do:

http://aquariumfish.net/catalog_pages/bettas/betta_breeding.htm
the male first needs to show signs that he is ready to breed (bubble nest), and the female needs to show signs that she is ready to breed as well (stripes on her body)
be aware that the male will 'beat up' the female before they mate
the tank needs to be kept at a high humidity for the baby bettas during the time between mating and free swimming, and betta fry need special food
over time they will out grow their hatching tank and need a larger out grow tank
then after a few weeks old you'll start to notice the difference in genders, at this time they will all need separate tanks
bettas can produce anywhere from 200 to (rarely) 900 babies from one mating, each baby betta will need a separate tank with clean water and regulated temperature
it is quite the time consuming task (and it consumes alot of space and money as well) and most betta breeders actually have what they call a "fish room" that they keep all the tanks in so it's easier to regulate temp. and humidity; and as far as the clean water goes, some people change the water in each tank everyday whereas other people spend thousands of dollars setting up out-flow systems
you'll definitely need to do some more research before attempting to breed your bettas: good luck!
