My wife and i share house hold duties, we are equal.

My mom is a Suzie home maker, and did everything for us and dad never helped around the house one bit, he only mowed the lawn, and pay the bills,

while mom slaved in the house all day. one time, my mom had made dinner, and my dad refused to eat it, and made her cook again. he was so abusive.

So, i am totally opposite from my dad, and my wife and are equals.

thank you

Not so much. My significant other was brought up in a household where his mom did (and still does) everything. He doesn't think to ask me if I need help, but if I ask for help, he's pretty good about doing it. Just make sure that you speak up (talk about your expectations before you need help, so it doesn't turn into an argument) and make sure that you teach your kids (if applicable) to be self sufficient so they don't fall into the same pattern.

Yes, we both work full time and we share the house work, if I am home earlier than he does I'll cook and clean up a bit, and he does the same if he is home first. At the weekends we both clean together, and I take responsibility for laundry as he hates the washing!!!

Yes of course he does!! I wouldn't even bother with a man who wasn't going to do at least 50% of the work. Of course, I have a job myself. If I didn't work, I wouldn't deserve the help and the same goes for him if he stopped working.

Yes he does and he is pretty good about it. He prefers to do laundry and the cooking but he has no problems doing the reest of the work. He is a sweetie.

Yes, he does, bless him and I thank my mother in law for teaching him how to care for a household when he was growing up.

Like anything else in a marriage, it is a shared responsibility.

Have a good day.
