like in my upper stomach kind of, i only got it a few times in my lower, under the belt) i am almost twelv i haven't gotten my period yet but i have had discharge for 5 months, and i have small chest area, not too small but i just started developing not too long ago, like around in the 5th grade, lie in the begging, i have had hair down there for about a year now, and a couple months, i have had armpit hair for about 4 or 5 months, and i am starting to get taller, i wear a size 7 in womens, almost close to my sister, and i am bout 5 feet tall, and weigh bout 90 lbs. am i close to starting my period?
also i am bout to turn twelv in 2 months ( November )

You could be starting your period very soon. I have a cousin that started when she was 9 years old! Don't worry about your period, it is a very natural thing. Sounds like you are very smart and aware of your body and what will happen soon. You are lucky! When I started my period, I was sitting in my elementary school auditorium, watching a talent show and I just remember something warm goosh out down there. Yup, was my period. Went home with a sweater wrapped aroudn my waist, I was sooo embarassed. My mom never talked to me about my period, not sure why. If I ever have a daughter, she will be VERY INFORMED! Oh, carry some pads with you, so when that day arrives....you don't get stained like I did. :( Also, start wearing dark pants....so if you do get stained, you don't have to wrap a sweater around yourself. THAT IS A BIG GIVEAWAY!!!

Sounds like you are close, here is a sure fire way to have your period. Wear a pair of white pants to a social function and Murphy's Law will kick in and you will get it! Just kidding! You have got all the signs and symptoms. Ask your mom and sister when they started that's a good indicator. Don't get in big hurry for your period its all down hill after that periods suck!

i had discharge for about 2 years...and then some. My period was the last thing i got...um i would say when your breasts get tender, then your period might happen in maybe...a year or so? i had cramps about a 1/2 year before i got my period...you'll probably get it around 14 years old by what i hear. peace on earth, hope i helped ♥

I think you'll get it after you turn 12.
Cramps in your upper stomach are not menstral cramps, that's probably gas.
You will feel a dull, but painfull feeling below your belt a day or two before it comes.
I started mine about a month after I turned 12.

Well the way you talk, it sounds like you are.
Discharge, growth and hair are all signs.
I'm not saying it will start in the next couple days, but very soon so be prepared and make you you have what you need.

It sure sounds like you're going to get your period soon. I had all kinds of weird stomach pains about 2-3 weeks before I got mine when I was 12 years old. I thought it was gas pain, but it was womanhood knocking. Welcome to the club!

There's no way to tell, but honestly I wouldn't worry about it if you are only 12. I realize that it can be kind of stressful because you've never experienced it before, but honestly, it's no big deal. Health and happiness to you!

Weelllll.....i had all those symptoms when i was aabout 12, but my period didn't start til 13 or 14 sorry to say...if you want it, but that's how it worked for me.

It's common when you're starting your period. My cousin already started her period. So if it's like the WORST cramp you've ever had, then you're getting close to starting your period.
