Georgie a true fan never has to eat crow. All you did is what any real fan would do, boast. You didn't gloat, or anything like that, you just cheered your team on. Since when is cheering your team on, is ever wrong. Besides "It ain't over, till it's over". Right? Right!!!!!

The Yankees were just amazing the 2nd half of the season. I would have liked anyone to take the wild card from them, but it is in fact, looking bleek. The Tigers on the other hand, have been very bad. First let me say that I am a Cleveland Indians fan. Now the 2 closest teams to catching New York are Detroit and Seattle. Both of those teams have to play one last series with Cleveland. Cleveland is a pretty good team and trying to win the wild card and having to play them.. its a tough road.
I watched the game tonight and really could not figure out how it went down as it did. I think, unfortunately for you, this game symbolized the whole season for the Tigers. They are running out of chances to make the playoffs this year. I know they have had a lot of injuries, but the great ones battle off injuries and find some way to make it past adversity.
The New England Patriots had a QB who was possibly destin for the Hall of Fame.. one day he gets injured. They must throw their backup in and look what he has done. 3 Super Bowl titles later, looking back at that day, was the best possible thing to happen to them. Different sport, I know, but that is how the great ones handle adversity.
As for your year-long smack talk.. I know nothing about that. But you believed in your team and there is nothing wrong with that. The Tigers are not completely out of either race at this point, but watching them fall apart tonight had to be the "tack" in the coffin almost. Not quite the nail, but the hammer is in Eric Wedge's hand.
Wow, I did not mean to write a novel.. Sorry!

Well you can start know if you want the Yankees are in the wild card 3.5 ahead of the tigers and 3.5 behind the red sox, if i was a fan of the tigers which I'm not i would not give up if i were you but there's slim chance they will make the playoffs Georgie

NOW. Tigers choked and let the Indians run away, there is no chance tehy will win the wild card. Yankees will beat the Red Sox and go to the world series.

I already went crow hunting this afternoon - just in case. I hope they taste better than they smell.
