Communism is a controversial subject in the U.S. but most of the people who criticize or made remarks to this movement aren't fully aware on the basis of it. Before asking an opinion about communism, you should read about it, learn about it, understand it, and finally make your own reasonable and argumentative comment. You have to understand as well, that communism isn't a preposterous political movement, it is in fact a well-thought proposition, but the extreme supporters of this movement have made of it an awful political experience. This movement has several types: Marxism-Leninism, Trotskyism and Maoism; it has also a vast amount of point of views and applications which are far more complex and extended to fit into a Yahoo answer. It's a political study structured systematically to function as a common wealth to all, yet (once again) the leaders which practice or practiced this movement in their countries converted it to a corrupt movement.

Communism is a defective social system that seeks to control every aspect of a person's life and takes away all freedoms and rights. It's highest goal is to achieve a completely communist state, which is, in reality, only a utopia. Yet, communism still poses a real threat to the Western nations. A communist , i forget who, said that they are infiltrating the Western nations with little bits of communism and socialism until one day, they will find themselves a communist society. Lenin ( I think) said that Communism will overtake eastern europe, then asia, then North America will fall into their hands without a fight. they've taken Eastern Europe and Asia...
We need to be aware of the dangers and threats Communism poses to our lives, even today.

Communism can work in the most basic form of society - the beginning stages of a country or one with a corrupt bureaucracy. After that, it is more beneficial to switch to a democratic system. It all depends on the country in question.

Communism is good theory, but it doesn't work when you add people and motivation to the equation. If people aren't be rewarded for their work then there is no motivation to work hard. So communism has not, and will not work. And the socialist programs proposed for this country will have the same problems.

true communism has never been implemented in any society by definition. True communism would actually be a good thing, but greed and corruption will never allow it. Even the Soviet Union was not a real communist government.

It is completely wrong. People will work hard to get ahead when they are working for their family or themselves. The natural want to get ahead, to make life better doesn't work when you have no incentive to do any more than the minimum you have to when you are not going to prosper personally from that work.

It's great in theory, but there are flaws that really can't be worked around in order to make it function properly.

Break it down now: you need a history lesson.
Communism has almost fallen. But, to answer your question, I'm not for it.
