I have had my period for 3 weeks (it usually lasts one). does anybody have any advice of what to do?

That's probably a pretty bad thing. You should definately see a doctor. Good luck!

If I’m to understand your question, do you mean you have had a continuous blood flow for 3 weeks without letup? If so it sounds like you have an abnormal uterine bleeding. Make an appointment with your gyno or doc. It is likely that they would suggest a Hysteroscopy: a procedure where a thin telescope is used to examine the uterus. From there they will have a better idea of where to go with treatment. If you have a blood/period calendar bring it with you on your visit as this may provide clues or insight on your cycle.

This used to happen to me years ago, and unlike what TWEETY said about exercising I was running 5 miles a day. You should go to the doctor, you might have a cyst or it might be nothing. BUT it is best to know for sure. Also since you have been bleeding for so long you might have become anemic.

i have had a couple periods last a month my prob was i wasnt exercising enough. take a really really really long walk!
