20 min = 1/3 hr. in that time, bus went 3 km farther than car. so in 1 hr, bus will go 9 km farther, which means it's going 9 km/h faster, so bus speed is 87+9 = 96 km/h.

the car has traveled 87km/hr * 1/3 hr = 29 km
The bus has traveled 29km + 3km =32 km
bus speed * 1/3 hr = 32 km
speed = 96 km/hr
