I think it is common as well as normal for us to feel that way...you want something so bad, you keep imagining all the positives it will bring you... and when you get it, you realize that it is not quite what you imagined because you didn't picture 'the whole package' or didn't concentrate on it...or you just stop and think for a moment 'so what now? i got it and what was the real point of that?' but you know i think it's better that way because it makes us set more goals for ourselves and without them, there is no life...
another idea that is very talked of at this time is that people often search for happiness but they don't realize that it is inside of them...we tend to think that we are not fulfilled until we accomplish something...we have to learn how to feel happy and fulfilled first and then let all the positive happen...

Are we ever truly full-filled? Some emptiness will always be present as we yearn for that which was and no longer can be attained....be it yester year and memories, some loved one gone, a portion of ourselves that simply got left behind. It is part of us that will always be as such....empty.

Absolutely. The kind of emptiness I felt was not of the finite sort. It was so endlessly empty, that I didn't want to wish for fulfillment again.
