What plug in the water heater. If you have a leak in the tank it is probably about rusted thru and needs replaced. How old is it.

When I fixed my camper I turned off a valve by the pump for the hot water I forgot to turn it back on? Also had to bleed air out.

More than likely you have trapped air in the line. you need to force the air out of the system either via a bleed valve or by pushing water through the system under greater pressure, perhaps via a garden hose, forcing the air out. Often, there is a bleeder around the pump area.

Did you reopen the valve?? Not going to flow with the valve turned off--no way to make a repair with the water flowing--did you clog the pipe when you made the repair??? Seems as if you need a real plumber for the job. Or did you hook up the pipes wrong--hot to cold or supply to return?? Retrace what you did if you MUST play plumber----

Did you turn off a shut off valve and forget to turn it back on?
