These answers before mine are all true in many cases. But then there is the other side of the meth world. Not every body who uses meth or other drugs are horrible thieving monsters that are disillusioned by reality. Some are honest good people who need a little help keeping up with the world. Sometimes its hard to get out of bed in the morning or compete in the job market against some of these younger stronger kids. Not all meth users just use to get real high and stay awake for days at a time, some just need a little boost of energy to get their bodies moving. Also some say using helps fight some illnesses by killing off some of the things that cause them. You could say the same thing about prescription drugs or even ibuprofen, why take them knowing they could have side effects or other consequences. Why are some drugs legal and other are not? who has that right to say what drug is good or bad, they all alter you in some way.

Some people who use meth are just trying to mask pain that would otherwise lead to suicide, so obviously they don't really care about the harmful effects, just trying to make it through another day. But many people who see "no harm" in these kinds of substances have never seen or understood the real effects of them. Too often, parents and others with limited exposure to the outcomes of drug use will explain the situation to kids by blaming the "bad" person who took the drugs, with little reference to the indiscriminately addictive and destructive properties of the substance itself. Drugs, especially cheap accessible drugs like meth, can become just another "harmless" form of teenage rebellion to these undereducated people.

Not all meth is created in unsanitary conditions. True, red phosphorous, muratic acid, acetone, iodine, and the like are dangerous, but it was originally created by the japanese during world war 2 ,trying to create a super soldier without fear. Kamakaze pilots were the first to try the creation. Easy money is the lure for most. I could go on and on, but in the end, the addict faces 2 final outcomes if he or she uses long enough. Jail, or death. Both suck!

If a person uses a drug long enough, their body undergoes a chemical change. This change is now the norm for them and it produces the addiction to the drug. When they start coming down, their body starts the withdrawl process from the drug, so rather than going through the physical pain, they continue to use to keep their body in it's new "normal" state. Even if they get clean, the chemical change is irreversible. Things will trigger memories of how it felt while they used, and the memories will make them want to use again. They will remember the euphoria. If it weren't for this euphoric feeling, they would not use it.

Most drugs are. People are messed up....why use heroine? Most coke is mixed with laundry detergent and flour, maybe a little baking soda...Why use it? You dont really want to know why people use drugs. It's a deep dark place that we are better off not to understand. We can however, understand the power of addiction, and how serious it can be, that one would actually ingest anything that awful. Everytime a druggie gets their fix, I consider it a cry for help and most disturbing, a suicide wish.
