a lot of those name brand clothes can be cheap if they are on sale!! or you could always go to yard sales too! maybe you could even have your own yard sale and sell your old clothes and then you will have money to buy all the new name brand clothes that you want!!! hope this helps!
good luck!

I understand that you want to "go with the crowd", but it's not your clothes that make you popular, it's your personality.
You can take ANY clothing item and make it look fashionable if you compliment it well.
Your mother probably cannot afford the clothes you want and you should be happy that she's shopping at major department stores instead of Walmart or Target for your clothes.
Also...these people that are wearing all of the "hip" brands are people you are more than likely never going to see again once you're out of school.

Have you tried ebay shopping! I get AFco jeans for $3 to $10! I have no opposition to second hand designer clothes and great prices! Also you can get some awsome deals on new too! I just bought a whole NEW outfit hoodie and capris VS pink for $25!
Try plato's closet if they have those in your area, all designer trendy resale for great prices!
You can have the high end clothes with out high end prices!
Seriously ebay and 2nd hand stores are my best friend!
I read your update.Try any resale shops in your area, platos closet is nationwide from what i understand. I have bought afco jeans for $12 and shirts for $7......also I have gone to thrift stores, find out what days they put out new clothes and grab some good bargins! If you do some research on stores like that in your area maybe you and your mom could have a girls day, and who knows maybe she will find some good barings on clothes she likes too!

It's okay, I had the same problem, and believe me the popular snobs might complement you more if you get new clothes but their still going to be snobs to you. Your true friends shouldn't care what you dress like, they'll still be your friends. Besides if you buy alot of clothes now you'll just grow out of them. Save your money for more important things like college.

There are tons of other stores out there that can help you look stylish without paying too much. Try stores like Forever 21 and Charlotte Russe, they have cheap-ish clothes that look awesome.
Hope this helps!

I would suggest getting a part time job to buy the clothes you want.

Your problem is not your mother, it is your attitude. Perhaps you ought to be thankful that you have enough clothing to make it a week. There are a lot of people less fortunate than you, and frankly I think you are acting spoiled.

I would think, get a job. It appears your parents really have done their best,
Looks like they are expensive,,,,,go to Mar shell's.
If YOU HAVE THE MONEY......Not to be mean...
You want it, get a job and buy it.
