The reciprocal of 0.25 = 4 since .25 x 4 = 1

The reciprocal of 10^-4 = 10^4 = 10,000, since 10^-4 x 10^4 = 10^(4-4) = 10^0 = 1

A number times its reciprocal = 1
let r = reciprocal

.25r = 1
r = 1/.25 = 4

Check:
.25 * 4 = 1

(10^-4)r = 1
r = 1/(10^-4) = 10^4

Check:
(10^-4)(10^4) = 10^0 = 1

.25=1/4 so reciprocal is 4/1 or just 4
as for 10^-4 its 1/10^4 or 1/40

what is the reciprocal of .25
