I read a few months ago that sometime in 2008, George Harrison will be getting his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (along with a few other celebrities). Does anybody know when in 2008 this is going to take place? And is there going to be some sort of event for it?

Yes, folks, I realize that he is dead. That was not part of my question. Please, think before you answer.

They haven't announced a date yet. When a live celeb is nominated for a Walk of Fame star, they have to show up in person for the unveiling ceremony, so they can years to finally get around to setting up the event to fit their busy schedule. But since George is gone (and obviously doesn't need to appear in person), my guess is that they will have his unveiling ceremony relatively soon, and definitely in 2008.

However, they often don't announce these ceremonies until just a few days before they happen. So don't expect a lot of advance notice.
