Too many countries are wasting their money on space programs already. Better to spend the money here on earth where it will benefit the people of Canada in the best way

Along with many other countries that do not have a home-based space program Canada does already contribute a fair amount to existing international space science programs in both money, equipment and personnel.

I'm from Canada, British Columbia to be exact and i think that the C.S.A. should take a more active role in space research and exploration, but you have to remember that we would be starting from scratch when it came to building a spacecraft of any kind, i'm sure that N.A.S.A. would help us out if we did start building our own spacecrafts after all we did give them the robotic arm they use on the space shuttle.

Dude the Canadarm! You know that little arm in the back of shuttles that allows Astronauts to work on and repair satellites and assembles the international space station. All Canada! There is also a Canadarm on the space station. We love our remote manupulator systems in Canada. And Roberta Bondar (astronaut)

Hello Sarah:

I am surprised that some of the locals up there have not responded to your interesting proposal. Quite possibly they are to tired from shoveling all that snow to come in and sit at a computer and talk about Space with us. i have found most Canadians to be highly intelligent people who tend to focus on things immediately around them which directly impact their lives. Certainly there are some futuristic thinkers also, they just don't seem to venture in here for some reason or another. With any luck, my comments will stir them up and they will jump all over us, granting your wish.

Cheers
Zah
