The bigger surprise is why you asked this question, as the obvious answer is either Houston or Detroit.

I would say the SF 49ers. The Patriots are not the big surprise. It was already etched in stone that they were going to win. So, no surprise there. The Colts though, well, they are beginning to show the signs of fatigue and this is only week 2.
The Steelers no surprise. Detriot Lions, Green bay, yes surprise. But to answer you, the 49ers.

Patriots all the way, I smell SUPERBOWL.

New england is the biggest suprise.
(The only reason I said that is because I know no one else will.)

Actually, the most suprising to me is the Detriot Lions. I expected them to be a lot better than they have been in the past, but dang, they're pretty impressive!

And I know a lot of people are suprised by the Texans. But that is just because of how bad they have been in the past. Their front office has done a great job at turning around that franchise.

A tie between Lions and Texans.

Obviously, the Texans are the biggest surprise, since they have never had a great history since they entered the league 5 or 6 years ago.

Defenitely Houston. No one has expected anything out them since they were brought into the league. If Matt Schaub keeps plaing well, believe it or not we could actually start talking about the Texans being a playoff contender.
