We are spraying then with herbicide to get rid of them, but my question is why? PS. I'm not talking about the tail of a cat!

I'm not sure why you would want to get rid of these nice wetlands plants: do you have the proper permits to change the nature of the wetlands on your property?

Cattails are extremely invasive plants that can choke up waterways and kill off fish. The only way you can get rid of them is with herbicide or by burning them.

Thistles and cat tails are considered obnotious weeds and not good for the environment....
