Thinking of a master plan cause ain't nothing but sweat inside my hand. So I dig into my pocket but all of my money is spent. I dig deeper but I'm still coming up with lint. So I start my mission leave my residence thinking how can I get some dead presidents. I need money I used to be a stick up kid so I think of all the devious things I did. I used to roll up, this is a hold up, ain't nothing funny, stop smiling don't nothing move but the money. But now I learn to earn because I'm righteous, I'm feeling great so maybe I might just search for a 9 to 5. If I strive then maybe I'll stay alive so I'll walk up the street whistling this, feeling out of place cause man do I miss... a pen and a paper a stereo a tape a me and Eric B and a nice big plate of fish which is my favorite dish but without no money its still a wish. But I don't have to dream about getting paid. I'll just dig into the books of the rhymes that I've made. Give it the test to see if I got pull. Hit the studio because I'm paid in full.
Eric B & Rakim circa 1980's

Most of 'The River', by Bruce. 'I'm Shipping off to Boston' by the Dropkick Murphys. The Satanic version of 'Spirit in the Sky'. 'O Come All Ye Faithful'. 'The Leopards' Song' - that was my school song and even after 20 years I cannot get the bloody thing out of my head. 'Bat Out of Hell'. 'Hero of Canton' from the TV series 'Firefly'. Many others.

I know virtually every word to every song on the approximately 30 albums that John Denver recorded- so do all 3 of my daughters and now my 3 grandkids are listening and learning, too!
