Sandra ( for Alessandra or Cassandra)
good luck and stay with the idea of classic names instead of inventing "unique" ones that make kids miserable in school later on.

When I read your question I take it you are calling a boy Gabriel and the girl Lily.
I have a daughter Gabrielle and she gets called Gabriella which she isn't and if they try to spell her name we get Gabriel - which to me is a boys name. I do get many compliments on the choice of her name - people havn't heard it for a long time. She does get called Gabby and it suits her too. Nice that she can be more formal when she grows up and call herself Gabrielle. I also have a Charlotte and I can tell you she & Gabby will not have any other classmates with the same names in their classes!
Now for other names, my brother is a CORWIN and there is not many of them around. It was suitable when he was little and now that he is a dad and he still suits the name. His only nick name was CJ as his middle name was John (Corwin John).
I just thought that I would share my suggestions with you. Good luck and have fun - you have picked two very nice names.

Gabriel is great, not so sure about Lily as a first name.
I think Alexander, Christopher, James, Thomas and Oliver are beautiful and normal names.
For girls, I really like Megan, Allison, Zoe, Morgan, Alexandra or Leah. They're not too trendy but still, they're not rare either.
Hope I could help!

Those are both great names! Check out the social security baby name website. You can make sure you're not picking a trendy name, and sift back through the years to find unique names that aren't made up or strange.

Adelaide :) That's my daughter's name. If we had a son it would have been Alexander.
I agree that a name should be picked realizing that your child will be an adult someday. I can't picture my boss being named Candi.
Grace, Olive, Olivia, Ana, Eva, Isabelle (or Isabella), Juliet, Gwen....those are all pretty names.
Alex, Victor, Marcus, Jackson, Everette....
Good luck :)
