Who says you have to be just like everyone else....If you don't like pink-don't wear it! You can be an individual and still look great! If it really bothers you that they dress totally different than you then you can change a few things about your wardrobe. I think that dresses everyday would be a bummer. Sure one every now and then wouldn't hurt. I do think that you do NOT have to wear dresses to be dressy. I wear jeans and shirts that I think are cute, and I feel that is totally acceptable for middle school. Keep in mind that to be a leader you can't try to fit in too. I struggle with wanting to join the "cooler" crowd. It is a tough descision...but I think you will find you are happier if you stay in your crowd and don't change yourself to conform to everyone else's preferences. Oh...and about the boys....most middle-school guys are just totally immature...They are probably just jealous that they aren't girls and they want to wear a dress...LOL. Hope this has helped you out...without boring you to death, or sounding like your parents. :-)
P.S. Take a look at some of these cute outfits (which aren't all pink!)

Normally I'd tell you to wear what you want to, but it sounds as if you've been doing that, and it's not making you happy. Look through the fashion magazines to get ideas about what will be stylish at your school and yet not make you feel as if you're changing your own style.
Like pink--you don't have to dress up like Barbie goes to seventh grade, but you could add a bit. (I have black Chucks with pink trim--you could try something like that--or pink socks or a pink t-shirt under a navy or brown top.)
A lot of girls are wearing "girly" tops with jeans, and I'll bet that would look cute on you, too, without being too frilly. Stick to your own basic look, just add some new accessories or tops--that might be a workable compromise.
Don't listen to what the boys say--they don't know anything about girls!
Good luck!

This sounds kinda lame but I think you should just be your self. I'm 16 and when I was in the 7th grade I was a tom boy. Girls were showing off their new purses and I was showing off this 5in scar I got from attempting a trick on my skate board. If you wanna dress up a bit, just get some cool earrings or wear a little lip gloss. Dont ever change your style to fit in!

You don't need to dress up or wear pink to fit in, or to be girlie. If you want to look cute try to make sure your jeans fit really well in the butt and legs, baggy jeans aren't as flattering. Also, you can wear plain t-shirts. Just spice them up with some jewelry. For instance some big chunky beads, or colorful bangle bracelet's. For shoes if your not into ballet flats you could always wear some converse all stars or some funky keds. Just make sure your comfortable with how you dress, and don't try to be someone your not! Hope this helped!

If you don't like to dress up, then you shouldn't feel left out! What everyone wears is their choice, and if the other girls want to dress up, let them! But if you want to feel sorta like them, this is what I recommend. You don't need to dress girly girl, just cute! Wear black leggings with a white cami and any baggy sports jersey or big sweatshirt (try VS Pink).... totally hot look. Or, try jeans with a cute polo/graphic T. Another hott outfit is brightly coloured sweats (again, VS Pink) with a cute, coloured T. None uncomfortable, all fun and funky. Good luck!

Don't let the other girls pressure you into dressing up if you don't want to. If you honestly feel like you need a change, you don't have to suddenly change everything to fit in with everyone. If you are intent on changing, you might want to start slow, maybe with adding a few accessories or adding one or two girly pieces to your wardrobe. You don't have to throw away all your jeans and buy a butt-load of dresses. Make your fashion work for you and your tastes.

Stay true to yourself and wear what you want to. Or, give in to the pressure and dress like everyone else. It's up to you. Think about the results of each option. Staying true to yourself takes a lot of inner strength and is an admirable quality. By changing yourself to fit in with others, you will lose your personal identity. And who knows, after you change your style they may just find something new to bug you about. Children can be cruel.

Screw them.
I'm in 6th grade and ALL the other girls in my class wear make up and dress up in "fashionable" clothes. i don't need makeup, I have natural features that look great. And school is for learning, not a fashion show. i just wear graphic tee's from walmart some jeans and some kicks or slipons with hearts or my skullie crocs.
