If you put aside the problem of people who are not really familiar with English, the others who skip spell checking are usually under the impression that someone will figure out what they wrote because what they say is really worth reading.
That is delusional. If it is too much trouble to write correctly it is probably too much trouble to read it.

I do at times but I really think some people take this Y/A thing too seriously. If I misspell a word accidental, I'm not gonna feel ashamed.

Nope I don't. in school my teachers wanted my essays typed and wit that came spell check..... I used spell check just for you only one spelling mistake.... :)
