First, assuming you have completed probation, most states will let you expunge the conviction. In California, you can have it reduced to a misdemeanor first. Then, after that you do not have to put down the conviction except if you are applying for a government job.

Pretty much, you can go for whatever you want. I wish you luck in your future.

The best bet is to look for what you want to do and like to do. Then if you won't find someone to take a chance on you start your own business in this field. Then you do not have to have anyone tell you no and it won't matter as long as the field does not require a criminal back ground check like: working with children, banking or finance, government security. Than your golden, go out and be the example the world is tough but you can do it just don't quit and remember where you came from.

You can go to college...but you can not become a lawyer b/c of the felony.

I would think anything else would be okay. (You may even be able to get around the lawyer thing....it depends on alot of outside factors.)

I would say get your 2 year degree first....so you don't ever lose credits. Then finish at a 4 year college....if you feel this felony will be a problem.

I looked up some stuff on google, that might help you.

I also agree with Joey! Good luck...I'm sure you will be fine.

You can do just about anything that does not require a criminal history background. For example, you probably would not be able to get a job with kids if you got a teaching degree. You might want to try journalism or something like that.

find a major that has nothing to do with your felony for example i have a felony for tampering with a government record (food stamp fraud) i went to nursing school because my offense did not relate to nursing. i would suggest maybe going to school to become a medical transcriptionist or something secreterial. they make good money and work really good hours. good luck!

at the very least, most trade schools should take you. I don't believe that anyone should have to pay for the rest of their lives for one moment.
