The intercepts occur when y=0 (x intercept), and x=0, y intercept

Is your equation
y=sqrt(x)+5 ?

when x=0, y=5
when y=0, there is no intercept since sqrt(x) is never negative.

This function is only valid for x>=0, for x<= 0, it is undefined or you must use an imaginary root.
