OK funny guys. What is the most common size? If the question was what size is a sheet typing paper in the USA I would want to here 8.5x11” not “depends on the size of the paper.”

Hi Yes you can measure the socket required bolt heads are measured across the flats that is a bolt head is hexagonal just measure from one flat side across the bolt to the other flat side the bolt holding the blade on my mower is about 32mm across the flats and allthough i have large collection of spanners this one is a bit big i allways use a monkey wrench or large adjustable spanner these are much cheaper than a socket ,just make sure it is nice and tight on the bolt then a gentle tap with a hammer and it should come undone ok take a picture on your phone before dismatling the blade just in case as sometimes its not obvious which way up things are , i take my blade off once a year to sharpen it , best of luck regards ward

I used a 13 or 15 mm(cant remember for sure)deep socket for mine.It was an odd ball metric size so I am leaning toward the 13 as I set it aside but of course I cant find it right now.

If you use the socket take great precaution not to tork it to tight,it will crack the base and ruin your evening.

It might be that there is no "standard"size nut,or quality control on cheap imports lead to diff.sizes

Depends on the size of the bolts. They are not all the same. Try using a ruler to measure them.

It's probably not a standard size. I recommend using an adjustable wrench, or socket wrench.

1/2 inch or 9/16 socket or box wrench usually...may have to cut them off with a hacksaw blade if too rusty.
