I have some jeans(98% cotton, 2% spandex) that are kinda baggy, so I was wondering what I could do in terms of washing and drying to shrink them a little.

Put them in the dryer on high heat for maybe 30-45 mins. Check them every now and then to make sure they're all right. They may not shrink too much though since there's spandex in them.

Many fabrics are preshrunk before sewing to any "shrinking" will be temporary heat shrink that will release when you wear or use the fabric. With a synthetic in the mix.....in this case spandex.....not only will shrinking be unlikely, you might aggravate the "bagginess" by damaging the spandex.

The problem is that they might shrink in the wrong direction. Hot water for sure will shrink them. I'd line dry them almost dry, then put in a hot dryer.
