I just found this cat outside my door that looks like it hadn't been fed for a long time. The thing is, she is spayed, she likes to be held, and when she hears the word 'munchies' she gets excited, like someone said that to her a lot. Unfortunatly, I haven't found anyone who claims to be her owner. I've walked door to door all over my extremely small town, but still have found nothing. Does anybody have any tips that can possibly help me find her owner(s)?

Take the cat to the vet or local shelter and have them scan her for a microchip which may contain information to contact the owner. They should do this free of charge. Have them move the scanner around because on occasion, the chip will "migrate" to a different part of the body.

If no chip is found then file a "found" report with the local shelter, and look through their "lost" reports as well. Go back a few months at least . Also place "found" signs up around the neighborhood and post a "found" ad in the newspaper.

If you don't find the owner it looks like the cat has chosen you as the new one.

I believe people who've pronounced putting up flyers interior the section. I additionally propose dropping by your vet's place of work or a community shelter with the cat so as that they'd test for a micro chip. If one is recent, they would be waiting to music the cat back to the vendors. Checking with buddies interior some 2 block radius is a sturdy thought too. i'd exhaust all opportunities to locate the owner in the previous taking possession. If no person surfaces, take the cat to a vet to be regarded at, vaccinated and spayed/neutered if it hasn't already been achieved.

Post a sign at the grocery store and at the gas stations, an owner may see it there. Also call the local vet and ask if they have a microchip scanner, they read 'found' pets for free, it may be she can be reunited that way.

If you have an animal control department, leave information there too, as well as any animal shelter--in case someone's checking around and you're just missing each other.

sorry but nowadays that's how people get cats as pets. they find them. u dont see many buying cats. so i doubt if u can find the owner cuz cat roam far awy from thier original homes and cant find the scent unlike dogs. cats dont have a strong since of smell.

so i say u should keep the cat
or turn it into a shelter home.

if it was me i would keep the cat cuz i just adore them. :)

If she was someone's pet at one time, take her to a vet and have them check to see if she's been micro-chipped, if she has, then they should be able to track down the owners. If not, then I'd say the cat has adopted you, and you now have a new pet!
