Just five, huh? Well, it's a little hard. The writers have done such a crummy job over the years that there are quite a few, actually.
Pete Rose and Shoeless Joe Jackson simply are not eligible to go in. Unless some new evidence -- hard evidence -- emerges we'll always have to look into the Baseball Encyclopedia to find them because they won't be, and don't deserve to be, in the hall.
1.) Bert Blyleven -- he is being ROBBED
2.) Ron Santo -- the NL's Brooks Robinson
3.) Thurman Munson -- Bench is in, Fisk is in, and there was only one other catcher in that golden age of catchers.
4.) Tommy John -- all those wins, a post-season icon, and his name is forever on the surgery that saves so many pitchers' careers.
5.) Roger Maris -- he held THE record of baseball longer than even the Babe. 2 time MVP.

I would have to say, in no particular order:
Goose Gossage - helped define the closer's role
Alan Trammel - come on, the guy was great!
Pete Rose - The hit king should be in!!
Bobby Bonds - No steroids, and the first 30-30 man(five times)
Roger Maris - hello, 61 anybody?
