No gynecologist will give an IUD to a woman unless she is done having her kids as it can scar the uterus. If you don't like pills, you can get lambskin condoms at the drugstore which men say feel more natural, but do not prevent disease, although they prevent pregnancy.

I think condoms are best, especially if you use a spermicide with them. The patch is cool too.

Actually these days there are quite a few different methods of birth control.
The pill is one, but it doesn't always work, take it from me, I was on the pill but got pregnant anyway when i was 16.

Condoms are more effective, but kind of interrupt things. They are also good at preventing you from catching diseases. And you don't need a prescription to buy condoms.

There are also female condoms that you wear inside, instead of putting one on the guy. I think they are silly, and it's hard to keep them in place.

What you were talking about is an IUD, the y shaped thing.
IUD's work about as well as the pill, not quite, but they can also cause, pelvic inflammation or infection, severe cramps, anemia, longer, heavier, and more painful menstrual periods, ovarian cysts, ectopic pregnancy and miscarriage.

Depo Provera is a shot you get every few months to prevent ovaries from releasing eggs. Towards the end of the months before you get the next shot, it might get weaker.

The diaphragm is a soft latex dome that a woman inserts. It always needs to be used with spermicidal cream or jelly. The diaphragm works by blocking the opening to the uterus so that sperm cannot enter. they slip.

The cervical cap is a small latex cup that a woman inserts. The cervical cap fits snugly over the woman's cervix. It is like a diaphragm, but smaller and is used with spermicidal cream or jelly.

The contraceptive patch is a small thin plastic patch that a woman wears on her skin to prevent pregnancy. The patch contains hormones just like the ones in most birth control pills. It releases these hormones through the skin and into the bloodstream. Instead of taking a pill every day, a woman sticks on a new patch each week. The patch works mainly by preventing the ovary from releasing an egg, so it interferes with your period.

Best Birth control is obviously abstinence. However, if you are so inclined, the pill is 99+% effective. Condoms as well, when used properly and augmented with a spermicidal jelly/foam. IUD's (In the uterus) are dangerous, cause infections, etc...Depo-povera shots, one shot every 90 days very effective. Rythm (Pull out) dangerous and riky for disease. Try to always use a condom even on another form of BC. Safest way possible. Anyway, hope this helps! Good Luck!

I didnt really like the pill either. I use the Nuva Ring. I insert it and then take it out on the 3rd week. I love it, but some girls dont like it and have side effects they dont like. I didnt get any bad side effects. Every girl is different and can react to each birth control in different ways. I would talk to a Gynecologist about what may be best for you.

Just use a condom!!!!! With spermicide! All these pills patches etc aren't good for women! I know friends who have had so many problems. One friend had blood clots at the age of 20 ----- NOT NORMAL!!!! Stick with the condom. If your arguement is that it doesn't feel the same, then find soem new positions!!

We used to call them Copper 7, but the name and type of material has changed. Yes, they work. I had one for five years and had absolutely no problem. When we decided to have a child, I had it removed and got pregnant two months later. It is an intrauterine device.

You are talking about an IUV....It can last for five years...The most popular is called mirena. Mirena can easily be removed also. Here is the site. I also included the planned parent hood site for other options. Good luck!!
