You can buy a cola essence either on-line of from a home brew store. Making your own flavor essence is possible but would take more work that it is worth. The rest of any soft drink is just water, sugar and carbon dioxide. The water and sugar part is easy, carbonating your drink can be done with dry ice. You can carbonate in a standard plastic soft drink bottle, just put the soda in the refrigerator overnight to let it get cold then add a couple of small chips of dry ice to the bottle and leave the cap off. You won't get as much carbonation at the commercial soft drinks, but they use equipment that is both large and very expensive.

You can probably purchase the syrup and carbonated water seperately. The water will come in a large metal cylinder and fairly expensive. Thats the way they used to make `em at the drug store. Called a 'fountain' drink. Of course different flavorings were utilized.

it will cost you 10 times as much to make (plus costs for equipment and taste one tenth as good IF you could find all the ingredients and IF by some miracle you followed all the directions correctly
