He has broken Elways world record on the winningest QB and all the press can talk about is washed up OJ, or the victory of the New England Cheaters?
Why do you think the press forgot to report on such a record setting accoplishment?

Patsfan...we are also talking about a QB with 17 years in west coast offense. The ball tends to get thrown a lot.
What is a statistic compared to a win?
At least he does not cheat to get his numbers.

But that is not the point. The point of my question is why has the media not picked up on a major sports milestone?
They happen to mention it during the report of the game?
And CNN.com has a top story about OJ antics in Vegas? Nothing about Favre?

He is too much of a regular guy. Not flashy or hollywood enough (for the press). Mr. Favre's accomplishments speak for themselves.

brett said himself last night that is the most meaningless record he can think of,he said he got credit for a winlast week when he didnt do a thing to win the game.also if you do the math its like winning only 8 games a year for 17 years thats only a .500 record.

if farve doesnt acknowledge the record or care about that record why should the press?

Face it most think that Brett Farve is past his prime. Heck his win percentage isn't that far over .500. Actually he should appreciate that he isn't getting too much attention, it means he shouldn't get too much when he breaks the INTERCEPTION record later this season. Maybe you are a Farve fan, I don't know, but you need to understand that most think he stayed around this year FOR the records(other then the INT one). So he won't get much credit because people don't have much respect for him.

Oh and too the WHINER-Vinny and Fluite were BACK-UPS, not STARTERS. There is a difference. Oh and Farve is the one who talks for a month plus of will I retire or won't I.

I wouldn't call it a snub. They covered it on all the NFL highlight shows I saw. It's not a big deal with Brett Favre, as he said in his interview. So it shouldn't be with his fans.
