I've been tired of it for 20 years.... Black music used to completely change 1 - 2 times per decade (i.e. 50s: r&b - Doo wop, 60s: ballads - motown, 70s funk, then 80s/90s/00s hip hop....) Similarly 40 years later people are still listening to regurgitated 60s music (rock). You can probably thank MTV for stifling creativity

Well I am white and I like the music alot and rap. And I am not only white but I am older as well. I think alot of hiphop is really good. I love the story lines its really interesting, and usually alot of great dancing in the video. All around I like it alot..

No. I like hip hop but my my my can we listen to other music too! If you do then other black people want to say you aren't black. I love telling them that I am black and it doesn't define me I define it. When was the last time a racist treated someone better just because they listened to country music?
Have a blessed day and enjoy whatever you choose to listen to.

Well, I don't listen to hiphop. And I agree with you. We can't blame Imus for his statements (concerning disrespecting women) if our own rappers do the same thing.

Listen to Christian and Gospel music.

I don't like most of it. I listen to rock 99% of the time. However, I'm still compelled to rock to T.I. or Lil Wayne from time to time. Guess it's my roots.

some is ok. Common and mos def are not too bad. I hate the degradation of women in rap more than anything.

If you're actually black I praise you for your astute observation. It really is abysmal. Much of white rock is equally vacuous to be sure.
