I never thoroughly clean my contact lens case. So I kind of feel like there is bacteria growing in it and its getting in my eye because lately I've noticed some discomfort while wearing my lenses. I heard somewhere that you can boil contact lens cases to clean them well. Is this true? If not, can you please tell me a good way to thoroughly deep clean my contact lens case? Please answer this. Thank you.

I've never boiled my contact lens case for fear of damaging the seal. Instead, I've let a pot of water come to a boil & then let my contact lens case soak in the hot water for a few minutes.

You can also rinse your lens case under warm running water & rub the surface w/ your fingers. Then use your contact lens sterilizing solution to soak it.

The easiest thing to do is to replace the case every 3-6 months.

you need to purely carry the case with a pair of tongs and pour boiling water over it from a kettle. you do no longer might desire to boil the case in a pot on the range. Or in case you prefer to apply a pot on the range, purely dip the case some seconds with tongs to hold it...that is lots. warm faucet water and somewhat dishsoap could be purely as efficient.
