Homecoming is the 13th of October. I just got my period on the 14th of this month. i normally get it around the 14th-15th never get it much earlier. I REALLY don't want to have my period on homecoming.. what do you think the chance is of me getting it on the 13th? I'm 17 by the way. Any way i can try and delay it? Like exercising or anything?

I would think exercising would make things come sooner...!? I'm not sure. That really would suck to have your period during that time just because you feel a little less attractive when you have blood leaking from your body. Like most everyone said, just suck it up or just hope it delays itself a day or two. Good luck and have a great (and safe) homecoming.

Use a menstrual cup - they can be worn successfully for up to 12 hours without leaks. It's actually impossible for them to leak because they have a suction protection seal. If you've ever had the problem with the tampon string getting bloody right after you've inserted the tampon then this is a great choice - I've switched to the DivaCup and now it's like I don't even get my period. (I'm one of the lucky few girls who don't get cramps so it's a total breeze with the divacup!)

If you're interested here's some more links to learn about them:

NOPE. Even BCP's don't work unless you slowly change your period over time. Chances are, you'd have had it anyway while taking the pill. So many people are disappointed when they take the pill, expecting it to the the solution to their problems, then they wind up on their period anyway.
Life is unfair, you're a woman, what more can I say?
Wear a tampon.

Suck it up and wear tampons.

No way to delay it.
