I want to prove my friend wrong that MCR is the best band ever

Any form of Genesis, with or without Peter Gabriel, is light years better than MCR will ever be. You need not prove they are the worst band ever. They should solidify that place in history once they unleash their follow up to The Black Parade. I'll be sure to hunker down in a nuclear fallout shelter on that new releases Tuesday.

OMG. I feel ancient - there's an answerer here that never heard of Genesis? It's freakin' GENESIS!! Holy ____!!! (fill in the expletive of your choice here).
Ok. Now that I've established that, let me think about it. There's Genesis -- and then MCR. Land of Confusion vs. The Black Parade....

I don't think MCR even comes close to Gabriel-era Genesis. I don't think I could compare them to Collins-era Genesis either for that matter. You lose.

Of the two Genesis definately.....Sorry. And personally I'd pick The Beatles as the best band ever.

MCR isn't the best band, you can't prove that. They're pretty good at best. Far from the best ever.

You have to be kidding. I am not a big fan of Genesis, but I will take the only choice of those two that has talent and that is Genesis.
