We have a set of glands around our nipples which is what allows a woman to nurse when she has a baby but any other kind of bump like a pimple or a cyst needs to be checked by a doctor.

As for the other symptoms, part of that could be related to a virus.

The only way to know for sure what is going on is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think is going on.

If a minor, please let your mom know what's going on as well so that she can help you with even more information.

It sounds like you are pregnant. You can still have your period if you are pregnant. Many people do for their first couple of months. Go get a check up or take a home pregnancy test to rule it out, then either way make an appointment.

Are you sexually active? If so, I would suggest a pregnancy test. The area around the nipple will get darker with pregnancy. The little "bumps" you mention are actually normal.

If the pregnancy test is negative, then I suggest giving your MD a call and seeing what she or he suggests.

Good luck to you! Keep us posted.
