I am planning on getting my sister a laptop for christmas but i am so totaly stupid when it comes to computers. Can anyone tell me a good computer and were I can get it from 600 to 800 dollars. she plays a lot of online games and chats online with her boyfriend with a wed cam. (idk if that helps) thanks

Last Christmas I received an Apple Mac Book Pro. It costs a little over $2000, but I feel that the price is well worth it. Before the apple, I used an HP and can be found around $800. But like you are needing something for her, you might look for a sony. They always have great graphics and enough memory to run online games smoothly and usually have built in cameras. I'm not sure of the price though.
I'm not sure how apple macbooks run games, so I'd stick with a windows based. Check out www.reviewlaptops.blogspot.com for a better idea.

For that price range a Compaq is the perfect computer. They can be purchased from anywhere from $500 and up. They are good computers and unlike othe rbrands they are extremely easy to reformat. I have also heard that Acer laptops are good for the money as well. check out http://www.microcenter.com they often have clearance or refurb laptops at great deals.
