we live in a complex. A few years back the landlord had our bathroom & kitchens done. We did not have use of our bathroom for the one weekend, and you could not get the landlord that specific weekend - he appointed the one maintenace man for emergency calls. He left a vacant unit open so we could shower & use the bathroom.

They have to provide you with a bathroom. Your saying you have no place to do your daily duty or wash, right. or is it just inconvenient for you. What is it?

If they closed the bathroom and told you not to use it then the landlord must provide you with a place to use for the duration.

It depends on your lease - their is something called the warranty of habitability, but two days without a bathroom does not seem to entirely qualify.

In order to better answer - I would need to know why is he repalcing the bathroom floor.

It only takes a few minutes to put a toilet back in place at the end of each day. Heck, Just set it on the hole, and flush it with a bucket of water if you need to.

They need to provide a temp system or put you in a hotel for the 2 days . this is a law in mass. and I'm sure it is the same where you are

You Can wait or move, but sometimes repairs take longer than expected. Be glad he's making repairs, there are others who wish their landlord made repairs.

no, he has to give you either access to another bathroom, or fix yours to be usable.
