Making a compound bow?

I've been watching the History channel and I wish to make a compound bow ( The one that looks like a "B" using old world ingredients, no carbon fiber or fiberglass, just wood and whatever else was available). Does anyone have any instructions or know where to get instructions to make one?

It sounds like your making a old world Long bow, a compound bow is modern with moving parts. Use wood that is carved & shaped for the bow ( this is a method of soaking the bow in water & shaping ) use sinue or rawhide , or horse hair for the string.
