My baby shower is being planned for early November- I am due Jan 23.

You could also do it on a weekend after the New Year when peoples schedules have slowed down and the holidays are over. Its also a good time to get really good deals on things because stores are trying to keep their sales up after the holiday season.

I had my shower 3 months before I was due. I chose to do it that way because at 6 months prego, I could still move around and be comfortable. Since it is the holiday season and people tend to be strapped for cash, I would suggest waiting until after Christmas to do it. Maybe like the 2nd weekend in January, you may be a bit uncomfortable, but hopefully everyone would be able to attend.

About two months before you are due is perfect. You won't be exhausted from the pregancy yet and you'll have less trouble sitting for long periods. At seven months there is very little chance that you will lose the baby and you'll have time to set up and organize all of your new items, figure out what you are still going to need, and go buy it. Good luck!

I think you should have it late January since you're due towards the end of Feb. I was due Feb. 2nd, and I had my first baby-shower on January 6th, and my mother-in-law held another baby-shower for me on the 13th of Jan. I had my daughter on Jan. 31st... It was kind of close, but that was enough time for my hubby and I to buy the rest of the things we needed.
Hope this helps :)

I had my baby shower in November & I was due in January. I'd probably do it in December if I were you, that way you have time to get everything washed & put up before the baby comes. Good luck & Congratulations!!!

I agree with the first answer. I was due Oct 24th with my son and mine was scheduled for Sept 23rd, but my son decided he didn't want to wait that long and was almost 3 months early. We had my baby shower before he came home from Children's Hospital.

maybe late Jan, so people have a few weeks to recover from x-mas. That will be at about 35-36 weeks pregnant, which is close, but still enough time.

I would say to have it in January. That sounds about right to me.
