No. I never bought a pet rock. But I did work in shop that sold them. I was truly amazed at how many of those things people bought! We sold them for about $5.00! Crazy!

Yes... they were selling them at a carnival I still remember the sign
" A pet rock for sale... have fun all day, you can skip it n a pond, take it for a walk, even use it to open up nuts.... and the best part is you never have to feed it"
I bought him for 50 cents his name was winston and he has a green mustache I painted on him!

Yes, in the 70's if you were cool at all you owned a pet rock...and of course a mood ring. Mine's name was rocky! (not the ring, the rock, lol) Pretty original, huh?

lol. No. I kept a cool rock that I found but I never bought one nor did I give it a name and treated it like it was a pet. I was just a kid who collected junk.

no, but in like 5th grade out teacher past out or "pet rocks" and we had to take care of it for a week. it was so funny everyone named there rocks different names and we made little beds and stuff for them. mine was named georgey gorgey. weird, but hey i was ten!

No, I found a rock (it was a mutt) and I built a little rock house for it -- it's name is sammy - taught it to stay and play dead

No, but I found one while I was clearing out the home of an elderly woman who had passed away. Her son said he no longer wanted it so we sold it on ebay.
