I'm 32, should I go back to college now?

Question

I have 2 kids under 10, and I work as a telemarketer. I have an A.A. (in gen. eds)My work history stinks.

I would like to get into something new. Any ideas?

I was thinking IT - but I never took a computer class before!

tfloto: I like psychology, but it would be to long to complete an MA, or Ph. D.

Health care requires lots of chem, and Bio. which takes more studying than social sciences. I have 2 kids and a job!

You should absolutely go back if you ever want to do more than telemarketing. As to what you should take, it depends on what interests you. You could try IT, but it might be hard to jump into as a junior (since you already have an AA) if you aren't already a geek. Some other things you might think about are accounting or nursing, since both are in great demand and pay well.

If given the chance yeah why not??Go for it!Your still quite young and still got a lot of working years in you so dont hesitate.Upgrade your knowledge and do something you always wanted . And when you look back 30 years from now you would be proud of it.And IT is the best career move nowadays given the technology.You wont regret it i promise as i have done the same and i cant belive myself that i cant wait to go to work.

I went back to school when I was 30 and loved it much more than the first time. Because I had all my GE's out of the way and could focus on what I wanted. I loved it so much I am back again (in my fifties!)
I would recommend health care (lots of jobs) or technology(lots of jobs but volatile) . Any science or math degree and you'll find lots of teaching jobs. But most important, what do you want to do or love to do?

since u're in telemarketering.. i think u should consider taking up IT.. and i believe u need it a lot now these days... good for exposure and pays high too...
