Someone told me once that stress is like a bottle. It doesn't matter which kind of stress you pour into that bottle, if the level gets high enough, something is going to spill over the top. I think it's true. That's why psychologists are around - to try to help you unlock old stress you have bottled up like resentment, guilt, hate, jealousy and lack of forgiveness. We target both ourselves and others with those negative emotions and it eats away at us. On the other hand, a great deal of positive stress can also be exhausting, though some people thrive on it.

Yes, which is why I choose to vent on a regular basis. Screaming at the top of your lungs really cleanses the soul.

Of course - do what Lover suggests and scream your damn head off. I have done it before - really done it - and it has helped.
Don't do it half-heartedly though, only do it if you are prepared to scream like you have never screamed before.
Other than that you find someone to talk to, and you let it out that way. Talking can and does help you..
